The architecture module was really enjoyable. Students were exposed to an area of learning that they don’t come across in school and were engaged in a variety of activities that got them to work in teams and think creatively.

UCL runs a number of Summer Schools for students in Years 11 and 12. The Summer Schools aim to give students a taste of university life and the degree programmes we offer. The aims of UCL’s Outreach strategy has particular focus on students from groups currently under-represented, and activity before and at undergraduate level.
‘Grand Tour Bloomsbury: An Introduction to Architecture’ was an architectural module deisgned by Mobile Studio. This module workshop was an introduction to careers in architecture and construction. Students created and discussed thier own designs using different materials and a were given a series of tours and interactive investigations into/of interesting local buildings.
